springboot Automatic restarts stops working from 2.1.13 to 2.2.0

I am struggling with this issue from months. Afters upgrading from Spring 2.1.13 to 2.2.0, automatic restart has stopped working for me in IntelliJ IDEA. More information here

As with the other people who have tried to help you on Stack Overflow, it works fine for me too. The difference in behaviour must be something that is specific to your environment. One possibility is that the dev tools jar has been corrupted so it isn't active. The log output when you start your application will show whether or not this is the case.
