In the current code, the line Resource resource = context.getResource(pingLocation); will throw an InvalidPathException on Microsoft Windows, because the context doesn't know how to resolve the ping protocol yet.

Ahhhh... then it appears to be an issue when running the test on Microsoft Windows, since that error does not occur on Mac OS or Linux.

Please note that I revised the approach in e608b367135fe232d359bd878085e609d2465a17 so that we are actually testing what happens with a ping: protocol before the PingPongProtocolResolver is registered, which is one of the main goals of those tests.
So, @jasonjiang9527, if you could confirm that the revised tests also pass on your Windows machine I would be very grateful.

Here is my explanation:
If you don't set ResourceLoader for context , context will use DefaultResourceLoader resolve the filePath as ClassPathContextResource , but new ClassPathContextResource(path,classLoader) does not check this path is or not a real file.
