I have the below procedure which I wanted to run before each test in my spring boot application integration tests to quickly truncate all tables in my schema:

This runs perfectly fine when I try to execute it on a local DB via MYSQL Workbench. But when I try to run the scripts before a test case in spring boot integration tests, it complains.

I have tried tuning several things in the procedure like changing the delimiter, closing statements with ; etc. All of the variations works fine on the DB directly via MySQL workbench but doesn't work when loaded with spring context.

It looks like you've created a question on SO already. Please do not cross-post, especially without saying you've done so.

blockCommentEndDelimiter looks like something MySQL specific so we won't be able to handle that. In general, our parser is ANSI-SQL and we can't handle all the subtleties of db-vendors. To make a fair comparison, running this a simple JDBC client would be better than doing that in MySQL workbench.
