Overview

The Variables section of the reference manual currently documents that only letters A to Z and a to z are supported.

However, since 6.1 we support the use of characters such as ü, ñ, é as well as letters from other character sets such as Chinese, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc.

We should update the documentation accordingly.
