Hi, I'm a Java developer in China, I'm very interested in joining the MyBatis team, responsible for the development and maintenance of MyBatis, I have one year of experience in open source projects, and the cumulative star of open source projects has exceeded five thousand, this is my Github address: @juzi214032, I'd really like to know what it takes to join the MyBatis development team, thank you very much!

The best way to join open source projects is to contribute. We are always open to code or documentation improvements. If you are looking for somewhere to get started, pick one of the open issues and try to resolve it with a pull request.

I know I could participate by submitting a pull request, but it would prevent me from learning about MyBatis' roadmap, and I'd rather be part of the team discussing the new features of MyBatis!

I don't know which issues should be supported because I can't discuss them with the team. I want to be a member, not a contributor. Thanks!

Because I want to be involved in the project for the long term, not just a few commits.

We loosely follow the Apache "meritocracy" model: https://www.apache.org/foundation/how-it-works.html#meritocracy
This means that you can earn commit access to the source repository based on a history of contributions.
You can discuss your ideas for improvements to MyBatis on the mailing list here: https://groups.google.com/g/mybatis-user
