Redis Why is the redis_version being reported as 999.999.999 and how can I assure myself I am on a particular version

I have installed, from github pull, the latest Redis repo. The version from info is redis_version: 999.999.999 <<

How can I tell exactly what version this really is?

@xtianus79 Hello, thanks for your question, the version you saw 999.999.999 means unstable(current development) version, I assume you pull down the source code from unstable branch. If you need a specific version, you might need to pull down the code from specific version branch(such as 5.0, 6.0).
