By any chance, does Redis support the jdbc specification?

The Redis project does not provide native JDBC support. If you google it, you can find one product and one project that delivers that, but I don't have personal experience with either. Note, however, that JDBC is intended to be used with relational databases, so there are apt to be assumptions made in adapting it to Redis' model.
