Are there any plans for the Windows version

Why run on Windows?

My understanding is that the short answer is "no"; there are features in the codebase (in particular the fork model) that make it difficult to run on windows trivially. There was a Microsoft effort (redis-64), but that was dropped; this baton has been picked up by Memurai, which is a commercial offering. For ad-hoc usage (especially development), WSL/WSL2 are viable options; as are containers.

So: plenty of options exist, without requiring redis/redis to do anything.
