You can use redis-cli with 7.x version. The code you mentioned had been changed in https://github.com/redis/hiredis/commit/f913e9b997e2cc4b847923e1b3b0649d77c85923

Looks like we better update out embedded hiredis in 7.2. Seems that this is still broken...

@michael-grunder I think it will be a good idea to synchronize a hiredis release with Redis 7.2. Are you aware of anything significant that's still waiting to be worked on or merged?
