Hello Redis support team,

At our company, we are currently using Redis version 7.0.5 in our production environment. We are planning to migrate our operating system to Debian 12, but we have encountered a challenge in finding the exact same version of Redis for this OS.

Could you please provide guidance on how to locate the specific Redis version 7.0.5 for Debian 12, or let us know if it's acceptable to upgrade to version 7.2.11? We are concerned about potential compatibility or stability issues with the upgrade, and we would appreciate your advice on this matter. Our redis on premises.

Thank you for your assistance.

Best regards, [Arman]

You can find information about getting Redis for Debian here: https://redis.io/docs/getting-started/installation/install-redis-on-linux/

Redis is generally backward compatible, and we try to document the exceptions in the release notes. We believe the latest version is always the best, but users should plan and test upgrades well.

Just want to add: You can find all releases in source code here: https://download.redis.io/releases/

And you can find them as git tags in the repo. It is easy to build redis from source. Just make and make install.
