Redis Why does not Redis use linux zero-copy syscall api ?

Why does not Redis use linux zero-copy syscall, such as linux zero-copy recv (using mmap, https://lwn.net/Articles/754681/) and zero copy send (MSG_ZEROCOPY) ?

Is it due to performance issue or other reasons?

Interesting. I have not seen it being discussed before so I think nobody tried it in redis yet. Do you want to implement it and make a PR?

We would need conditional code because we support many linux versions and other OSes.
