SpringBoot JDBC is not working through application properties it works by declaring bean using in java bean configuration.

Respected @wilkinsona, It was great to work with the Springboot framework but as I am migrating the spring MVC project to spring-boot and as in spring-boot JDBC MySQL is defined in the application.properties but I am getting an error. but I defined the JDBC MySQL connection in the java file giving bean and configuration and it works but why it does not work in the application.properties file. As I have moved all the packages and controller, DAO , domain, and service java files from spring MVC to spring-boot. Is it possible to migrate the spring MVC to spring-boot just by importing the project files to spring-boot and define the JDBC data source in application.properties file.

Any leads will be appreciated. Thanks in advance

It looks like you've configured your DataSource to use com.mysql.cj.jdbc.Driver as its driver class, but that class cannot be loaded. The most likely cause for that is that it isn't on the classpath but you have not provided enough information for us to know if that's actually the case.

If you would like us to spend some more time investigating, please spend some time providing a complete yet minimal sample that reproduces the problem. You can share it with us by pushing it to a separate repository on GitHub or by zipping it up and attaching it to this issue.

Thanks for the reply...it worked by changing the version of MySQL from 5.1.44 --> 8.0.26.
