Hello,

I hope I asking this issue on the right canal.

I'm having trouble deploying my spring-boot projet on my JFROG Artifactory. When I use the mvn deploy command, the .pom file is not uploaded on the remote repository.

I'm upgrading versions of my enterprise applications to spring boot 3 and deployment process is altered by this problem.

You can reproduce the problem by going to spring initializr, choosing Maven, Java 17 and no additional dependency.

When I execute mvn deploy on this project, it only uploads the jar file:

mvn-deploy-spring-boot.3.1.2.txt

When changing the spring-boot-starter-parent version to 2.7.14, it works fine:

mvn-deploy-spring-boot.2.7.14.txt

I also tried using maven deploy plugin 2.8.2 with spring boot 3.1.2 but it does not solves the problem.

Is this the expected behavior since 3.X.X or are there any additional configuration I could apply to the deploy process to be able to use spring boot parent starter ?

Thank you

Ok so digging a little more (it's always when we ask for help after hours of search that we find how to resolve in 10 min afterward) I found out that artifactory-maven-plugin before 3.5.1 have problem deploying .pom files with maven install plugin 3+.

Here the release note :https://github.com/jfrog/artifactory-maven-plugin/releases/tag/3.5.1

Sorry for the disturbance :)
